The phrase ‘wandering Jew’ historically has negative connotations. It’s used to express the idea that Jews are disloyal, and that they are a nomadic people, not to be trusted. I’m reclaiming it though, because I like it and I feel like it describes me perfectly. I’m proud to be Jewish, and equally proud to be one of life’s wanderers. So that’s how the blog got its name, and what inspired it. Simple really. I’m a fanatic for the great outdoors, and am never happier than when I’m out on a sunny trail somewhere. I’m also a massive italophile, and very often those two passions come together. So come join me on my happy wanderings.
